Spigot Replacement Process

The best course of action became apparent: shutting off the water to Building 12 and cutting an access panel into the wall of either unit 1213 or 1214 to replace the leaking spigot. This involved cutting in a new isolation ball valve for added convenience and efficiency. The decision to proceed with a spigot replacement, while not always the simplest solution, was undoubtedly the most effective in this scenario.

We located, ordered, and gathered the necessary materials and opened the outside manhole to access the water main pit. We shut down Building 12’s water main, drained it, and replaced the leaking Silcock with a new one. Additionally, we enhanced functionality by installing a ball valve for easy isolation and a 14-inch access panel for future maintenance.

Spigot Testing

We reactivated the water in Building 12, and then rigorously examined the new silcock for leaks and functionality. This project highlights our dedication to providing dependable plumbing solutions, especially in intricate commercial plumbing replacement situations.
