The Wish Project

The Wish Project is a critical resource for furniture, household goods, and baby needs serving these families in need. In any given week, there are as many as 100 families with children, sleeping on the floor in largely unfurnished apartments in our own community.   Without The Wish Project, families have very few affordable options.  Household furnishings for a family is a burden that too often families can not carry.  So they simply go without.  With support from The Wish Project, they are able to manage their expenses, reducing the likelihood of becoming homeless again.

Budget Buddies

Budget Buddies helps low-income women become more economically self-sufficient and transform their lives by teaching them core money-management skills and pairing them with personal financial coaches.

Humane Society For Greater Nashua

The Humane Society for Greater Nashua advocates for and enhances the lives of animals entrusted to our care while educating our community to strengthen the human animal bond.

We are a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has been supporting Greater Nashua since our inception in 1900. Our volunteer Board of Trustees provide leadership and guidance and along with our staff our volunteers, help us care for and raise needed funds for the over 2,000 pets we take in each year. We hope you will stop by our shelter to visit our pets and learn more about what we do and the services we provide to the community.h year, for 26 years, a group of guys who hang out at the fabled Owl Diner on Appleton Street in Lowell get together and choose one person to be the recipient of the proceeds from its annual golf tournament. They receive a few nominations from people in need and choose one. Past awardees range from an individual with muscular dystrophy to someone who had a serious skateboarding accident and suffered brain damage to a program that hires veterans and trains them as first responders.
